Mobile Recidivism Reduction Center

Our Mobile Recidivism Reduction Resource Center is dedicated to providing critical reentry support directly to justice-involved and justice-impacted individuals and communities, meeting them literally where they are. Designed to serve underserved communities across North Carolina, this innovative mobile center brings essential resources to individuals who need them most, empowering them with the tools, skills, and support to successfully reintegrate into society.

Our services focus on addressing the root causes of criminogenic thinking and behavior, while also providing support for reentry challenges, and helping individuals build stable and productive lives. Inside our Recidivism Reduction Center, we offer a range of services tailored to reduce recidivism and promote long-term success. Below is a look at our recidivism reduction services offered on our mobile resource center.

  • Social Benefits Assistance: We provide support with applying for and obtaining government programs like food assistance, healthcare, and housing support

  • Employment Assistance: We provide support with Job training, job placement services, interview preparation, resume building and mentorship to help individuals find and keep jobs

  • Education & Skill Development: We provide support with obtaining GEDs, higher education, vocational training, and financial literacy classes

  • Mental Health Services: We provide support with obtaining counseling, trauma-informed care, and support groups for emotional well-being

  • Substance Misuse Treatment: We provide support with obtaining counseling, rehabilitation programs, and long-term support for recovery

  • Housing Assistance: We provide support with obtaining temporary and permanent housing options

  • Legal Support: We provide support with obtaining assistance for expunging criminal records, legal advice, and education about rights

  • Family & Community Support: We provide support with obtaining programs for family reunification, parenting classes, and mentorship

  • Digital Literacy: We provide support with obtaining training in digital skills, free Wi-Fi access and providing access to technology

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): We provide support with obtaining enrollment in programs that focus on changing harmful thought patterns and behaviors

  • Life Skills Training: We provide support with obtaining enrollment in courses on communication, financial literacy, decision-making, time management, and self-care

  • Inclement Weather Assistance: We distribute supplies to combat unsafe and/or severe weather conditions

  • Hygiene kits Distribution: We distribute hygiene kits and products for both male and female

  • Harm Reduction Supplies Distribution: We distribute harm reduction supplies designed to assist individuals managing substance use, including Fentanyl test strips, Narcan, and other harm reduction resources
